Coral Gables Country Club Wedding | Sabine + Pat

Coral Gables Country Club Wedding | Sabine + Pat

AS SEEN ON MUNALUCHIBRIDAL.COM BY MELODY SIMPSON

When Sabine Edmond and Patrick Dulcio watched their guests videos, they realized that the two were both singing the song Sabine walked down the aisle to “All of Me” by John Legend as she walked closer to him. Outside of the church, Sabine became filled with jitters and when the church doors opened, she took one deep breath before walking through the foyer. Sabine says of her favorite moment, “Our eyes locked. His handsome smile caught my eyes and all of my jitters faded away.” Beautiful. AVD Photography captured so many beautiful moments.

Bridesmaids/Groomsmen Gifts

The Bridesmaids, Maid of Honor and Matrons of Honor received a mirrored jewelry box with a crystal brooch on it, red satin robes, and Godiva chocolates. The Groomsmen and Best men received shot glasses inscribed with our family crest, a small bottle of Malibu Black and a money clip wallet.

Wedding Style

I was (and still am) absolutely in love with my beautiful white Mori Lee gown. My sweetheart topped dress was draped in crystal beading down to where the tulle trumpet skirt began and led to my draping train. I had so many beautiful accessories but I would have to say that my favorite accessory was my Diann Valentine Bridal Cuff which was made with an amazing four inch crystal beaded adjustable cuff, all clear crystal beading and silk white Phalaeonopsis Orchids.

Favorite Item on the Wedding Menu

Our cake. We had five different flavors including lemon for Pat, double chocolate for our son and guava for me.

Culture

Both Pat and I are Haitian, so incorporating our culture into our wedding was seamless. We played Haitian music and incorporated our traditional Haitian coconut cream liquour called Cremas as one of the desserts on our dessert bar. Our favorite cultural element was our wedding favors of tablet pistach which is Haitian peanut brittle.

When we were struggling college students, Pat’s birthday was approaching and I wanted get him a gift. Although he asked me not to, I was determined. Knowing that tablet pistach was his favorite sweets, I headed to the bakery and purchased twenty of them. I then wrapped them up, bought a card and wrote “Your favorite sweets to my my favorite guy. Happy Birthday.” For our favors, we placed the tablets in black boxes and wrapped them with red bows, a crystal brooch and a little note that said “These sweets represent the love we had when we had little else.”

Wedding Advice

Wedding planning can be stressful and can put a strain on couples, so we enforced a strict rule that we would have weekly date nights that didn’t include wedding discussions. This is the best advice we can give to engaged couples. Enjoy these date nights where you laugh and totally focus on one another without any distractions. We treasured these dates and it gave us something to look forward to during the week. We found this was our time to come up for air from all the wedding planning and enjoy each other. Some of our most memorable dates were the most effortless ones: We cooked a small intimate meal together, took evening walks on the beach with a bottle of wine and a blanket, and our favorite of all; we went for a ride in the car to sightsee around town.
